TheinformationinthischapterisusefulwhenyouconguretheadvancedsettingstocreateaFDTProject.

The following describes the differences between the device DTM data in the FDT Project and

the DTM data in the device maintenance information in the database, and how to assign the

information.

Differences

• AFDTProjectstorestheDeviceDTMdata,CommDTMdata,andGatewayDTMdata.

Also, device maintenance information stores only the Device DTM data.

• AFDTProjectstoresonesetofDTMdataforthedevice.

 Also,devicemaintenanceinformationcanstoreuptovesetsofdeviceDATMdata.

Assigning

• YoucanassignthedevicemaintenanceinformationtothedeviceDTMintheFDTProject.

The device DTM data in the FDT Project and in the device maintenance information are

saved in different areas. Therefore, although the FDT Project is saved, the device DTM data

in the device maintenance information is not updated.

The device DTM data can be transferred between the FDT Project and device maintenance

information. For example, when the device DTM is selected in DTM Works and saved to the

database with Save to Database, the device DTM data in the FDT Project is saved to the

device maintenance information.

• YoucannotassigndifferentdeviceDTMsintheFDTProjecttothesamedevice

maintenance information.

• TheFDTProjectisdeleted,buttheassigneddevicemaintenanceinformationisnotdeleted.

The device DTM is deleted in DTM Works, but the assigned device maintenance

information is not deleted.

In both cases, only the relevant FDT Project item in “Device Info - Communication Path” for

Device Maintenance Info is deleted.

• Althoughthedevicemaintenanceinformationisdeleted,theassignedFDTProjectisnot

deleted.

 WhenDTMWorksisrunningintheUDCmode,thedevicemaintenanceinformationto

which the FDT Project is assigned cannot be deleted, and also the device information

cannot be changed.
