Advance is supposed to be used in the following two ways and provides an appropriate
operating procedure and data management.
1. When you make settings and adjustments at the workbench, before installing
devicesintheeld,orwhenyoumakesettingsandadjustmentsintheeldfor
installed devices.
TheSegmentViewerdisplaysthelistofHART/FOUNDATIONeldbus/PROFIBUS/
BRAIN/ISA100 devices that are directly connected to FieldMate by physical linkage.
: Available for both Basic and Advance.
2. When you make settings and adjustments for installed devices via network
You can register a device online, and display/set the device maintenance information.
: Available for Advance.
There are two connection modes available, which are called Built-in Connection and User
DenedConnection.
Built-in Connection (BIC Mode)
TheBICmodeisabuilt-inconnectionmodeofFieldMate.Thismodeisavailablefortheve
types,HART,FOUNDATIONeldbus,PROFIBUS,BRAINandISA100.ForHARTandBRAIN,
you can perform communication using an optional HART/BRAIN modem of FieldMate by
connectingitdirectlytotheelddevice.
ForFOUNDATIONeldbusandPROFIBUS,youcanperformcommunicationbypurchasing
aNI-FBUSofNationalInstrumentsorFFusbfromSofting(forFOUNDATIONeldbus)ora
PROFIusbofSofting,(forPROFIBUS)andconnectingittothebustowhichtheelddeviceis
connected.
InfraredAdapter,IR224UN-LN969600bps(ACTiSYS),YFGWGateway(forISA100)isusedfor
connection.
The BIC mode is available for both Basic and Advance.
User DenedConnection (UDC Mode)
TheUDCmoderequiresinstallingitsCOMM/GatewayDTM,anddenethenetworktopology
accordingtotheCOMM/GatewayDTMfortheconnectiontotheelddevice.
TheUDCmodeisavailableonlyforAdvance.
