Color of Parameter Values

Color Explanation
No color Indicates that the parameter values in the Device Values area (database 1) and Work area
(database 2) are the same.
Magenta Indicates that for writable parameters there is a difference between the values in the Device
Values area (database 1) and Work area (database 2). (Note that this does not indicate that
the parameters are targeted to be downloaded.) If even one of the parameters in the tab is in
magenta,themagentasymbol■isdisplayedbesidethetabname.
Yellow Indicates that for read-only parameters there is a difference between the values in the Device
Values area (database 1) and Work area (database 2). If even one of the parameters in the tab
isinyellow,theyellowsymbol■isdisplayedbesidethetabname.
Orange Indicates that for writable parameters there is a difference between the values on the left and
right of the screen. I.e. It indicates the difference between the connected device and imported
les,differencebetweenlesinthedatabase,betweenimportedlesandlesinthedatabase.If
evenoneoftheparametersinthetabisinorange,theorangesymbol■isdisplayedbesidethe
tab name.
Red Indicates that for writable parameters there is error found on the right screen, including not only
keyinbyuserbutdataofimportedles.
Ifevenoneoftheparametersinthetabisinred,theredsymbol■isdisplayedbesidethetab
name.
Green Indicate the parameter properties difference between the values in the Device Values area and
Work area.
Due to DD structure, parameter properties i.e. (Edit Format, Display Format, EnumList, Validity,
ReadOnly/WriteOnly/ReadWrite etc) are changed.
Ifevenoneoftheparametersinthetabisingreen,thegreensymbol■isdisplayedbesidethe
tab name.
OperationwhenexitingParameterManager
• Communicatewiththeconnecteddeviceandcheckwhetherthedeviceparameterhas
been changed when exiting Parameter Manager in device mode. If there has been a
change,promptquerymessageandexitafterconrmation.
• WhenexitingParameterManagerwithoutcommunicationswiththedevice,change
database value in display on the screen and make sure to check it has not been saved.
If it has not been saved, inquire with “You have changed parameters. Save changes to
database?,”iftheansweris“yes,”overwritethedatabaseandexit.
